Smart Workshop and Toolbox System
Custom Gridfinity organization, CAD-designed tool holders, electronics workstations, sensor monitoring, and workshop automation.
The challenge
A working electronics and fabrication space accumulates tools, parts, and instruments faster than any generic storage can handle. Disorganization quietly taxes every project through lost time and misplaced components.
The solution
We designed a Gridfinity-based organization system with CAD-modeled holders for specific tools and instruments, combined with electronics workstations and environmental sensor monitoring. Selected workshop functions were automated through a local platform, tying the physical space into the same system that runs everything else.
Outcome
The workshop has a consistent, expandable organization scheme, purpose-fit tool holders, and monitoring that surfaces conditions like temperature and activity—turning the space itself into a maintained system.
Lessons learned
Modular, parametric CAD made it easy to add holders as new tools arrived without redesigning from scratch. Treating storage as an evolving system rather than a one-time build matched how a shop actually grows.
